Camphill Dunshane is a tranquil shared living environment for 55 people, 22 of whom have special needs. The community was founded in 1985, and has been thriving since then, creating a unique and inspiring shared living environment. Set on a picturesque 28 acre organic farm situated near the Wicklow Mountains, Dunshane provides people with disabilities opportunities to develop craft skills in pottery, basketry, bakery, and candle-making. Products are made in way that support independence, creativity and skill development. Making products using traditional techniques also represents the values of this community: slow living, appreciating the small wonders, and an appreciation of the natural world and each other. The candles and pottery will sell from Dunshane will can bring a little joy to special moments in others’ lives reflecting the values that underpin life this peaceful and inspiring community.
