12 Days of Christmas Decoration - Paula McGloin
Upcycled Presents - Instead of novelty gifts lets reduce our impact on the world by reusing, reinventing and recycling materials that would otherwise go to landfill. With a bit of creativity something old can be given a new lease of life.
Meet the Designer – Paula McGloin
Paula McGloin is an award winning Dublin based illustrator and surface-pattern designer who draws her inspiration from her upbringing in the wilds of County Sligo.
This decoration is part of a set of 12 decorations inspired by a newly rewritten version of the old festive song, seeking to modernise Christmas traditions for a more inclusive modern Ireland. All proceeds are being used to train and upskill women from refugee backgrounds in We Make Good’s Textile Studio. The decorations themselves are being crafted by participants of Cairde Enterprises, an education and training centre in Limerick which works with men and women who have experience of the criminal justice system.Makers: Cairde EnterprisesMaterials: Lasercut Wooden decoration measuring 92mm with a recycled wood pulp ribbon
